Delivering a Bond

Deliver an electronic surety bond (ESB) or bond rider to the regulator in NMLS by completing the Mark Ready process.

About this task

Delivery of a bond in NMLS occurs when a company user marks the bond Ready for the regulator. This step is required for first-time electronic submissions after the bond is signed by a company user or designated Control Person.

Note: Bonds delivered for existing licenses are sent immediately to the regulator. Bonds associated with new license applications are delivered once the application is submitted.

Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
Log in to your NMLS account.
From the Dashboard on the Home tab, scroll to Surety Bonds and Riders.
Access the Manage Surety Bond or Rider page from the Bonds Pending Action list.
Review the bond details to confirm accuracy.
Check the box in the attestation language.
Click Mark Ready.

Note: Bonds that have already been delivered will no longer display in the Bonds Pending Action list.
