About this task

You can remove authority from a surety bond issuer only if there are no pending or active bonds issued by that entity. Bonds in Notice of Cancellation, Canceled, or Declined status are not considered pending or active.

Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
Log in to your NMLS account.
From the Home screen, click the Tasks tab.
Click Surety Bonds from the top menu bar or the main description panel.
In the left navigation panel, click Authorized Surety Entities.
Click Remove next to the desired Surety Entity Name.
Click Remove Authority to confirm the removal.
