About this task

Before requesting or transitioning a license, review your agency’s requirements in the State Licensing Checklist Compiler and gather all required information and documents before starting a filing.

Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
Log in to your NMLS account.
Select Filing > Company (MU1) from the menu.
The Company Filing screen is displayed.
Select Create New Filing.
The Company Form (MU1) opens, beginning on the Business Activities screen.
Select the checkboxes for the licenses you want to request and click Next.
Optional: If you are transitioning an existing license onto NMLS, enter the Existing License Number provided by the licensing state agency and click Next.
Click Continue with Filing.
The Identifying Information screen is displayed.
