About this task

Use the Approvals and Designations section of the Company (MU1) Form to identify all approvals and designations currently held by the company. If an approval or designation is not represented by the provided list, select Other Approval/Designation and enter a description. Applicants or licensees that are Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Seller/Servicers, or Ginnie Mae Issuers, may be required to complete the Expanded Mortgage Call Report (MCR) if it is a licensure requirement. For money transmitter license types, provide FinCEN registration information as applicable. For state-specific requirements, see the State Licensing Checklist Compiler. Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page.
- State context.
- Federal context.
Select Filing > Company (MU1) from the menu.
The Company Filing screen is displayed.
Click Create New Filing.
The Company Form (MU1) opens, beginning on the Business Activities screen.
Open the Approvals and Designations section.
Select all applicable approvals and designations from the list.

Note: If selecting Other Approval/Designation, enter a brief description in the provided field.
Answer the business relationship questions:
1. For Will the entity engage in any non-financial services related businesses?, select Yes or No.
  
  Note: If Yes, provide the business name and describe the type of non-financial services related business.
2. For Will the entity occupy or share space with any person(s) engaged in financial services-related activity?, select Yes or No.
  
  Note: If Yes, provide the name of the other business and describe the type of financial services related activity.
If applicable, provide FinCEN registration information for money transmitter license types.
Click Save.

Note: Companies that are Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Seller/Servicers or Ginnie Mae Issuers may be required to complete the Expanded MCR.
