Selecting Relevant Business Activities

Choose the business activities that accurately reflect the services your company provides to ensure proper license application and regulatory oversight.

About this task

During the Company MU1 filing process, you must identify the business activities your company conducts or intends to conduct. The selected business activities in this section will allow the system to provide you with a list of licenses for which you may apply. Carefully reviewing and selecting the relevant activities is essential for accurate application processing.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
  3. Select Filing > Company (MU1) from the menu.
    The Company Filing screen is displayed.
  4. Select Create New Filing.
    The Company Form (MU1) opens, beginning on the Business Activities screen.
  5. Click Add Activity to identify the business activities conducted by your company regardless of the type of license for which you are applying.
  6. Select the appropriate states in which you conduct any of the selected activities.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Associate specific activities to the applicable states.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Confirm your selections.
  11. Click Request License.
