Viewing MLO Renewal Status in Composite View

Use Composite View in NMLS to review individual MLO registration and renewal status, including current and historical records.

About this task

Institutions can use Composite View in NMLS to view an individual Mortgage Loan Originator’s (MLO’s) registration and renewal status. This includes both current status and historical information, allowing verification that renewal or reactivation has been completed.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (Federal Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
    Note: If you are landed on the NMLS Connect screen, click NMLS Federal Registry in the Quick Links section.

  3. Select the Federal context, if the Context screen is displayed.
    Note: Be sure you are in the Federal context by selecting Federal from the You are currently drop down list. Your screen should display the Federal Registry watermark.

  4. Click the Composite View tab.
  5. Click View Individual in the submenu.
  6. Enter the MLO’s Individual ID, or enter First Name and Last Name, and click Search.
  7. Click the MLO’s NMLS ID from the search results.
  8. Click Federal Registration List in the left navigation panel.
    Note: The View NMLS MLO Registration List screen displays the MLO’s current registration and renewal status.
  9. To view registration and renewal history, click the regulator link.

Results

The MLO’s current and historical renewal/reactivation statuses are displayed in Composite View, allowing confirmation that the individual’s registration is Active for the renewal year.
