Using NMLS Reports

Institutions can generate reports in NMLS to view criminal background check (CBC) status, MLO registration and employment information, and detailed MU4R data.

Institutions with the appropriate Reports Role can access NMLS reports on the Reports tab to monitor compliance and track MLO employment and registration activity. Reports are refreshed daily, with adjustments for weekends and holidays.

Examples of reports available to institutions include:

• Criminal Background Check – Displays the current CBC request status for MLOs pending confirmation of employment with an institution.
• Individual Roster – Lists MLOs associated with the institution, the MLO’s current registration status, the most recent CBC request status, and the latest employment information between the MLO and the institution.
• MU4R Detail Report – Provides expanded data (excluding SSN and DOB) from the most recently submitted MU4R, along with the MLO’s registration status, CBC request status, and employment details with the institution.
