Running the Renewal/Reactivation Activity Report

Generate and use the Renewal/Reactivation Activity Report in NMLS to identify eligible MLOs and track renewal or reactivation status.

About this task

The Renewal/Reactivation Activity Report is a real-time Excel report that lists employed MLOs, their renewal or reactivation eligibility, and their current statuses. Institutions can run the report as needed to plan submissions and monitor attestation progress.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (Federal Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
    Note: If you are landed on the NMLS Connect screen, select NMLS Federal Registry in the Quick Links section.

  3. Select the Federal context, if the Context screen is displayed.
    Note: Be sure you are in the Federal context by selecting Federal from the You are currently drop down list. Your screen should display the Federal Registry watermark.

  4. Click Renew/Reactivate.
  5. Click the Excel icon next to Renewal/Reactivation Activity Report.
    Note: The report opens in Microsoft Excel and includes all MLOs employed by the institution along with their current renewal/reactivation status.
  6. Filter or sort the report to identify MLOs by renewal status, such as Eligible for Renewal, Pending Attestation, Renewed, or Reactivated.
  7. Use the report to decide whether to renew/reactivate MLOs manually or by upload. The format of the report aligns with the upload file requirements.

Results

The Renewal/Reactivation Activity Report is generated and can be used to track MLO eligibility, monitor attestation, and prepare upload files for batch renewal/reactivation.
