Employment Management in NMLS allows institutions to confirm, reject, correct, or terminate Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) employment records.
After an MU4R filing has been submitted and attested to by the MLO, the institution must manage the associated employment record in NMLS. Employment Management provides the tools to confirm, reject, or correct pending employment records and to terminate existing records when an MLO leaves the institution.
Institutions can confirm employment records manually or rely on NMLS to automatically confirm them after a clear Criminal Background Check (CBC) result is received. Institutions may also edit the employment start date, request corrections from the MLO, or recall correction requests when needed.
