Uploading an MLO Batch File
Upload a completed batch file in CSV format to NMLS to register multiple Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) at once.
About this task
Once the MLO Batch Upload file is created, it must be uploaded to NMLS for processing. Batch files are processed immediately upon upload, although larger files may take longer. Results are always available within 24 hours.
Procedure
- Navigate to the NMLS Login page (Federal Context).

Log in to your NMLS account.
Note: If you are landed on the NMLS Connect screen, select NMLS Federal Registry in the Quick Links section.

Select the Federal context, if the
Context screen is displayed.
Note: Be sure you are in the Federal context by selecting Federal from the You are currently drop down list. Your screen should display the Federal Registry watermark.
- From the NMLS Home screen, select the Tasks tab.
- Select MLO Batch Upload from the sub-menu.
- Select Upload New Batch File on the navigation panel.
- Select Browse and select your completed CSV batch file.
- Enter a description for the file (optional).

Select Upload to submit the file.
The Upload New Batch File screen will confirm that the file was uploaded successfully.
