Confirming Your Record is Up to Date
Verify that your company record in NMLS is current and accurate before submitting annual renewal requests.
About this task
Before the renewal period begins on November 1, companies should review their records in NMLS to confirm that all information is accurate. This includes company address, other trade names, control persons, and other details in the Company (MU1) Form. Making updates ahead of renewal helps prevent delays or deficiencies.
Procedure
- Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
- Log in to your NMLS account.

Select View Complete Record Information in the Quick
Links section.
The Composite View Tab in NMLS Classic is displayed.
- Select View Company from the submenu.
- Click View Company Snapshot in the left navigation panel.
- Select all items to view and click View Snapshot.
- Confirm that all displayed information is accurate, including company address, other trade names, and control persons.

If updates are needed, return to the Filing tab and submit
a Company (MU1) Form amendment. See Filing Amendments to the Company MU1 Form.
Note: Some changes require an Advance Change Notice to be submitted to the state regulator before the change takes effect. Refer to Advance Change Notice for Company MU1 Amendments and the State Licensing Checklist Compiler for state-specific requirements.
