Tracking the Status of Merger and Acquisition Transfers

Track the status of M&A transfers in NMLS to monitor whether MLOs have accepted, denied, or left pending the transfer of their employment records.

About this task

After an M&A transfer file is uploaded and payment is received, affected MLOs are notified by NMLS to log in and accept or deny the transfer. Institutions can track the status of these transfers to ensure employment records are updated correctly.

Status categories include Pending, Accepted, and Denied. Pending transfers require action from the MLO, while accepted transfers complete the employment change. Denied transfers indicate that the MLO did not approve the employment transfer.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (Federal Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
Note: If you are landed on the NMLS Connect screen, select NMLS Federal Registry in the Quick Links section.
