Account Administration

- Request a Company or Institution Account
  A state-licensed company for federally registered institution must submit the Company Account Request Form to gain access to NMLS for the first time.

  The Account Administrators for your company are persons of your company’s choosing that will have full access to your company’s record on NMLS and will be able to fill out and submit a complete company record (Form MU1 or MU1R) to any participating state regulator or the Federal Registry.

    Two-factor authentication is a process by which two independent authentication methods (such as a security code produced by a physical token in addition to a username and password) are utilized to increase confidence that an individual attempting to access a secure system is authorized to do so.

Annual Security Credential Subscription Fees

NMLS Account Administrators and organization users must pay a $55 annual subscription fee for each NMLS user account that requires two-factor authentication.

The subscription is good for one calendar year beginning the day the security credential is registered in NMLS. NMLS users assigned the Financial Admin role can pay the security credential subscription fee (including renewal fees) for the Organizational Users.

Security Credential Subscription Renewal

NMLS requires each user to renew the subscription of their security credential every year on or before the subscription expiration date to avoid an interruption in the user’s ability to log in to NMLS.
