Determining Who Is Responsible for Payment

Before submitting your Individual MU4 application, determine whether you or your employer is responsible for paying the associated fees.

If your company is licensed or registered with a state through NMLS, either you or your employer may submit the Individual MU4 license or registration application.

Whoever submits the application is also responsible for paying any associated fees at the time of submission to the state agency.

If your employer will be submitting and paying for the license or registration request, consult with your employer before proceeding.

If you are submitting the application yourself and are responsible for payment, you may proceed to gathering your application requirements.
