NMLS Account Recovery
NMLS allows you to recover your username or password in case you have forgotten them, your account has been locked due to too many failed login attempts, or your account has been disabled after an extended period of inactivity.
Resetting Your Password
Reset your password by having a one-time passcode sent to your recovery email address.

- Request an Individual NMLS Account
  If you are a Mortgage Loan Originator, Control Person, Qualifying Individual, or Branch Manager, you need an NMLS Account to create and attest to your record in NMLS.

Resetting Your Password

Reset your password by having a one-time passcode sent to your recovery email address.

Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page.
- State context.
- Federal context.
Select the Forgot Password? link on the NMLS Login page.
Enter your username or recovery email.
Select the Next button.
Select the recovery method where you want to receive your one-time passcode.
Select the Submit button.
A one-time passcode is sent to your selected recovery method.
Enter your one-time passcode.
Select the Submit button.
Change your password.
Select the Change Password button.
