Completing the CBC Process for MU2 Individuals

Authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check (CBC) process, including scheduling fingerprint appointments and managing agency access to CBC results.

About this task

Some state regulators require individuals identified on the Company (MU1) Form to complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC). The CBC process includes authorizing the background check, scheduling and completing fingerprinting through Fieldprint, and granting agencies access to your CBC results. If additional agencies need access while your request is still pending, you may grant or remove agency access through NMLS. For authoritative requirements, see the NMLS Policy Guide.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
  3. Select the MU2 tab.
  4. Click Review and Attest, then select the Criminal Background Check section.
  5. Select the I am requesting a Federal Criminal Background Check checkbox.
