Responding to License Items

Review and internally respond to license items placed on your company, branch, or sponsored individual licenses.

About this task

Use the License Item List to monitor and internally address license items placed by the system or a state regulator. These tasks are for internal tracking only and cannot be viewed by regulators. For clarification about specific license items, contact the relevant state agency directly.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).
  2. Log in to your NMLS account.
  3. Click the Tasks tab.
  4. Click License Item List from the sub-menu.
  5. Apply filtering options or click Filter to view all current license items placed on your company, branch, and sponsored individual licenses.
  6. To review the details of a license item, click the View icon or the hyperlinked License Item Type.
  7. On the License Item Task page, optionally perform the following:
    1. Assign the license item to another company user.
    2. Mark the review as complete to indicate it has been addressed internally.
    3. Enter the date the item was addressed.
    4. Add internal notes in the Company Internal Notes box.
    Note: Marking a license item as complete will not remove it from the list. Items are only cleared by the system or state regulator once satisfactory action is confirmed.
