Providing services for another party that owns the subordinate lien mortgage loan
and/or a party that owns the mortgage servicing rights on such a loan, including, but not
limited to, the receipt of payments, customer service, escrow administration, investor
accounting, collections, loss mitigation, or foreclosures. Third-party servicers, which may
be referred to as subservicers, do not own the loan or the mortgage servicing rights
associated with the loan. (Excluding interim servicing).
