UAAR Fee Information
Understand the annual NMLS processing fee for Uniform Authorized Agent Reporting (UAAR), how it is calculated, and when it must be paid.
The Uniform Authorized Agent Reporting (UAAR) functionality allows licensees to submit agent and delegate location reporting requirements through NMLS in a standardized, quarterly process. To cover development and operational costs, NMLS assesses a processing fee that is applied annually to companies reporting authorized agents.
Fee Structure
- An annual fee of $0.25 is charged for each active authorized agent or delegate location reported through NMLS.
- No fee is assessed for the first 100 active agents. Companies with 100 or fewer agents are exempt.
- The maximum fee per licensee is capped at $25,000 per year.
Fee Calculation
The invoiced amount is based on the number of active agents in NMLS as of August 16 (the day after the third quarter reporting deadline). An agent is considered active if no end date is entered in the upload. Agents submitted outside the system due to address verification issues are also included under the same fee methodology.
Invoicing and Payment
Invoices are posted in NMLS on or around November 1 for licensees with active agents. Licensees receive a system notification when an invoice is available. Invoices can be paid directly in NMLS and are due within 30 days of posting.
