Viewing Authorized Agent Upload Results

View and interpret the results of an uploaded Authorized Agent file in NMLS, including the Upload Status Chart.

About this task

After an Authorized Agent file is uploaded, NMLS displays results on the Processed Authorized Agent File List and Results page. This page provides access to the original upload file, the results file, and the status of each submission within the past 365 days. File statuses are defined in the Upload Status Chart below.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page.
  2. Select the State context and sign in to NMLS.
  3. Click the Tasks tab.
  4. Click Manage Authorized Agents.
  5. Go to the Processed Authorized Agent File List and Results page.
  6. Locate the uploaded file and review the File Status column.
    Note: File IDs, original file names, and descriptions are listed for tracking purposes.
  7. Click the Results File icon (Excel symbol) to review the validation results.
    Note: Processed indicates all records were validated successfully.
    Note: Failed Processing indicates errors. Refer to the Error Description column in the results file for details.
  8. Refer to the Upload Status Chart to interpret file statuses:
    Status Explanation
    In Progress File is being validated. Refresh the page to view results.
    Attestation Required File has been validated and must be attested to before submission.
    Processed and Submitted File has been attested and submitted to regulator(s).
    Failed Processing - System Error No records were processed due to a system error. Contact the NMLS Call Center.
    Failed Processing - Invalid Format File could not be processed due to an invalid format. Review the results file for details.
    Failed Processing - Invalid Address File could not be processed due to invalid addresses. Review the results file for details.
    Note: Regulators only receive files in Processed and Submitted status.
