Affiliates / Subsidaries

Applicants and licensees must identify each entity under common ownership (affiliate) and each entity under control (subsidiary) that provides financial services or settlement services.

For purposes of this section1:
  • An affiliate is defined as an entity whereby the common owner, regardless of ownership amount of the applicant, owns 10% or more of the entity.
  • A subsidiary is defined as an entity that is owned 25% or more by the applicant, either directly or indirectly.
You may utilize the search option to find the entity’s record in the system. If no record is found, then you must input the following information:
Affiliate/Subsidiary Name
provide the full legal name of the affiliate or subsidiary
Name and Street/City/State/Country/Postal Code
provide the main address for the affiliate or subsidiary
Control Relationship
identify whether the entity is under common ownership (affiliate) or under control (subsidiary) of the applicant or licensee
Description
the description should include the line of businesses engaged in by the affiliate or subsidiary
