Recalling a License Marked Do Not Renew

If you previously selected "Do Not Renew" for a license, you can recall that selection and submit a renewal request during the open renewal window.

About this task

If you previously marked a license as "Do Not Renew" but later decide to renew it, you may reverse the selection and proceed with attestation and payment. This option is only available during the November 1 – December 31 renewal period.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the NMLS Login page (State Context).

  2. Navigate to the Renewals Tab page in NMLS Classic:
    • Select Renewal Home in the Quick Links section.
    • Select the Renew link next to the relevant license in the My Licenses section.

  3. Click the Recall List link in the left navigation panel.
  4. Select the licenses you want to recall.
  5. Click the Apply Selections button.

Results

The Recall List screen will refresh and the selected items will be moved to the Renewal Selection List. The regulator will also receive a notification that the Do Not Renew action has been recalled.
