Company Licenses Description Requirements Checklist
Delayed Deposit Services Company License Any person, regardless of location, conducting delayed deposit services business. A person is defined as individual, proprietorship, association, joint venture, joint stock company, partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, business corporation, nonprofit corporation, or any group of individuals however organized. Delayed deposit services business means any person who for a fee (a) accepts a check dated subsequent to the date it was written or (b) accepts a check dated on the date it was written and holds the check for a period of days prior to deposit or presentment pursuant to an agreement with or any representation made to the maker of the check, whether express or implied. Delayed deposit service transactions can only be conducted from a physical, licensed location in Nebraska. The Delayed Deposit Services Licensing Act is contained in Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 45-901 to 45-931.
Installment Loan Company License This license is required of any person that makes loans to Nebraska residents with an interest rate in excess of 16% per annum but no greater than 24% per annum. All licensees must have a physical location in Nebraska and a branch license application must be submitted for each location at which you conduct business in this state. (More Details)
Installment Sales Company License This license is required of any corporate location that conducts Nebraska sales finance activity (purchasing one or more installment contracts from one or more sellers); at that corporate address. (More Details)
Installment Sales Company Registration This registration is required of any corporate location that does not conduct Nebraska sales finance activity (purchasing one or more installment contracts from one or more sellers) at the corporate address, but that oversees branch locations that do conduct Nebraska sales finance activity. Money Transmitter License This License is required for any person or entity that engages in the business of the sale or issuance of payment instruments, stored value, or of receiving money or monetary value for transmission to a location within or outside the United States by any and all means, including wire, facsimile, or electronic transfer. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, "money transmission" also includes bill payment services not limited to the right to receive payment of any claim for another.
Mortgage Banker License This license is required for all companies or sole proprietorships that conduct mortgage lending, mortgage brokering, or mortgage servicing activities.
Mortgage Banker Registration This Registration is required of any person who makes a residential mortgage loan secured by a dwelling located in Nebraska, who is exempt from licensure pursuant to Section 45-703, but who employs or enters into an independent agent agreement with an individual who is required to obtain a mortgage loan originators license.
Branch Licenses Description Requirements Checklist

This license should only be applied for by a company that also holds or is applying for Delayed Deposit Services Company License. The Delayed Deposit Services Licensing Act is contained in Neb. Rev. Installment Loan Branch License This license is required of each location in Nebraska at which an installment loan company conducts business. All locations conducting business under an Installment Loan License must be located in the state of Nebraska and must have at least one branch license. (More Details)

Mortgage Banker Branch Registration This branch registration is required of companies holding a Mortgage Banker Registration to register all branches conducting mortgage banking business involving dwellings located in Nebraska, regardless of the physical location of such branch office.
Mortgage Branch License This license is required for all offices, other than the main office identified on the Mortgage Banker License, whether located in Nebraska or not, which conducts business with Nebraska residents. (More Details)

Mortgage Loan Originator License This license is required of any individual who for compensation or gain or in the expectation of compensation or gain (i) takes a residential mortgage loan application or (ii) offers or negotiates terms of a residential mortgage loan.
