Common Requirements

The following requirements are handled through a common process for all jurisdictions:

Renewals - Annual license renewal for 2010

Financial Statements - Submitting financial statements through NMLS

Professional Requirements - Testing, education and background check requirements for individual Mortgage Loan Originators

Company Licenses Description Requirements Checklist
Mortgage Broker/Lender License This license is required of any company or sole proprietors, regardless of location, conducting direct or indirect mortgage origination activity on residential property located in Idaho. (More Details)
Regulated Lender Registrant This registration is not a license transition. This registration is not a license application process for the regulated lender license. This registration does not apply to entities that hold both the mortgage broker/lender license and the regulated lender license. This additional registration is only required of a company or sole proprietorship, already licensed under the Idaho Credit Code, Idaho Code § 28-41-101 as a regulated lender, regardless of location, conducting direct or indirect mortgage origination or loan modification activity on dwellings located in Idaho for compensation or gain, or in the expectation of compensation or gain. Exempt Entity Registration This registration is required of any entity or sole proprietorship, that conducts independent contractor mortgage loan processing or mortgage loan underwriting services on behalf of Idaho mortgage broker or mortgage lender licensees or regulated lender licensees and registrants on dwellings located in Idaho. Branch Licenses Description Requirements Checklist
Mortgage Broker/Lender License (Branch) This license is required for all offices, other than the main office identified on the Mortgage Broker/Lender License, whether located in Idaho or not, which directly or indirectly conducts mortgage origination activity on residential property located in Idaho.
