Company Licenses Description Requirements Checklist
Advance Fee Loan Broker License This Registration is required of any person who for an advance fee or in the expectation of an advance fee, either directly or indirectly, makes procures, offers, or attempts to make or procure a loan of money or extension of credit. Please review A.R.S. § 6-1301
Collection Agency License Those entities or individuals whom act as a collection agency are required to have this license. "Collection agency" means: (a) All persons engaged directly or indirectly in soliciting claims for collection or in collection of claims owed, due or asserted to be owed or due. (b) Any person who, in the process of collecting debts occurring in the operation of his own business, uses any name other than his own which would indicate that a third person is collecting or attempting to collect such debts. Commercial Mortgage Banker License This License is required of any person who for compensation or gain, or in the expectation of compensation or gain, directly or indirectly makes, issues commitments, negotiates, places, assists in placement, finds or offers to negotiate, place, assist in placement or find mortgage loans on Arizona commercial property for others. Escrow Agent License "Escrow" means any transaction in which any escrow property is delivered with or without transfer of legal or equitable title, or both, and irrespective of whether a debtor-creditor relationship is created, to a person not otherwise having any right, title or interest therein in connection with the sale, transfer, encumbrance or lease of real or personal property, to be delivered or redelivered by that person upon the contingent happening or non-happening of a specified event or performance or nonperformance of a prescribed act, when it is then to be delivered by such person to a grantee, grantor, promisee, promisor, obligee, obligor, bailee or bailor, or any designated agent or employee of any of them. Sales Finance License This License is required of any person who is engaged, in whole or in part, in the business of purchasing retail installment contracts from one or more retail sellers. This License is also required of any person whom is engaged, in whole or in part, in the business of creating or holding motor vehicle retail installment contracts, exceeding a total aggregate outstanding indebtedness of $50,000. This License also includes any company commonly known as a title lender that allows consumers to borrow money based on the equity in their automobiles. Individual Licenses Description Requirements Checklist
Mortgage Loan Originator License This license is required of a natural person who for compensation or gain or in the expectation of compensation or gain does any of the following: (a)Takes a residential mortgage loan application. (b)Offers or negotiates terms of a residential mortgage loan. (c)On behalf of a borrower, negotiates with a lender or note holder to obtain temporary or permanent modification in an existing residential mortgage loan agreement.
